Fabian Laute is a musician and human geographer. At the intersection of electronic music, ethnographic field research and post-structuralist philosophy, he develops concepts for live performances and studio albums. In addition to his work as a solo artist, he repeatedly enters into exchange with performance art, contemporary circus and media art.

In all his works, the live element plays a decisive role: using modular synthesizers, he designs new improvisational surfaces in order to abduct electronic music from its computer-bound domain, to open up interaction potentials for it, and to (re)establish the immediate link between musician and instrument as an eventful dialogue.
